Heart Strings Layout

Hi everyone! I have a layout to share using the One Fine Day paper collection.  I used a lot of paper layering to create the background pieces for my layout.  I tore the edges of the paper and ink them with Mocha Mama Powderpuff Chalking Ink  I tore the edges of the vellum and inked them as well. 

I used a few of the One Fine Day Word Strips on the layout. I cut them out, inked the edges and pop dotted them onto my layout.

I also used transparencies to create borders in the corners of my layout. 

Lastly, I added gems to the centers of the flowers on the rubones that I used:

Happy Birthday Cupcake Card!

Hi everyone! I have a birthday card to share with you today that showcases a cute chipboard cupcake. I inked the edges of my paper with Blue Hawaiian Chalk Ink and stamped a cute sentiment at the top of the card.

Here you can see a close-up of the chipboard cupcake.  To create the look, I painted a thin coat of white acrylic paint over the entire surface of the chipboard.  Once dry, I used chalk inks to color the wrapper and the frosting.  I then used pearl paint to create the “dots” on the frosting. 

Its a super simple way to dress up your chipboard!

Scatter Joy Layout

I simply love the bright colors of the Quick Quotes Miss Morgan Paperline!  I used a lot of paper tearing and inked the edges using the new Very Berry Powder Puff Chalking Ink to create this layout.  I also cut out words and images from some of the papers to create design elements for my pages.

In the bottom left corner, I included a torn piece of Colored Vellum and attached it to my page using brads.

The word strips were cut from patterned paper. I pop dotted the bottom element (It’s the MOMENTS we least expect, we ENJOY the MOST) and inked the edges to bring it up off of the page somewhat.

The two large birdcages were also cut from patterned paper.  I added pink gemstones and then pop dotted them onto each page.

Cherry Truffle Card

I have a "sweet" card to share with you today!  I created this card using the Quick Quotes Cherry Truffle and Summer Samba paperlines and a cute Color Vellum Quote.  The card came together quickly, I used a border punch to create the flower borders that outline both sides of the vellum. 

Since you can somewhat see through the vellum, I wrapped it around the back of the yellow paper at the top and bottom before attaching it to the card.  This creates a clean piece so the adhesive cannot be seen.  I inked the edges of the card and vellum with Midnight Confessions Chalk Ink and added a black and white dot ribbon.  I also added clear gems to the centers of the flowers on the vellum.

Policy Envelope Mini Album

I have a new mini album to share with you!  I made this colorful Spring themed album using policy envelopes and a Cinch binding machine.  I decorated the album with the new Quick Quotes paper line called One Fine Day.  The title page contains a color vellum quote that was attached with brads on one end and a little bit of adhesive that was applied under the darker colors of the vellum so that it wouldn’t show through.  I also cut down the first envelope and punched the edge with a decorative punch, then added a tag.

Throughout the album, I used Quick Quotes Paper Strips  from the One Fine Day collection.  I added each one towards the top of the page so that a portion could be seen sticking out.  Each Paper Strip was positioned so that they could all be seen when the album was closed. 

The decorative paper strips have quotes and different images and made this album come together quickly.

Finally, when all of the envelopes had been decorated, I used my Cinch binding machine to punch holes and attach the spiral binding.  The tags were decorated with ribbons, rubons, and bling and were inserted into the opening of each of the envelopes. Happy Spring everyone!!

Little Girls!

These are some of my favorite photos of my daughter Jasmine.  Looking at them reminds me of how much fun she had giggling and posing for the photos.  The Vellum Quote perfectly describes her sweet demeanor.  It reads…Little Girls are precious gifts like birds and brooks and streams..their hair is tied up with ribbons and bows…their hearts are tied up with dreams.  So sweet!

To create the chipboard heart, I used a word stamp to cover the front of the chipboard.  I also inked the edges with Midnight Confessions Chalk Ink and tied a pink and black Gingham Ribbon around one side.  I then added 3 gems to the opposite side. 

The vellum title was embellished with rubons and I also tore the top and bottom edges and inked with Midnight Confessions Chalk Ink. 

The quote in the bottom left corner was cut from the Dreamscape 12x12 Sheet of Phrases and pop dotted onto my page. 

To finish off the layout, I added Prima flowers topped with brads to the page as well as rhinestone flourishes.  Lot's of girly embellishments for this girly layout!!

Reminisce Mini Album

Hi everyone!  I'm here to share another mini album with you! I created this album using Quick Quote's March Club Q kit.

To create the album, I started with a piece of canvas that was used for the front cover.  To create the inside pages and bind the book together, I cut 3 pieces of paper that were 6” x 12” and folded them in half to create 6”x6” pages.  The back of the first page was glued to the back of the canvas.  I then glued the backs of the next two papers together and so on, so that each page was two papers thick.  I glued a 1 ½” ribbon along the edge of the binding for even more reinforcement. 

Front Cover



All of my pages were inked with Midnight Confessions Chalk Ink.  I added the Tin Type orange patterned paper to the front of the canvas.  I then matted the cutouts with black cardstock and added them to the front at an angle.  Rubons were added to the tops and bottoms of the title pieces.  To hold the buckles in place, I wrapped the ends of the ribbon through the buckles and glued them to the backside of the ribbon using Beacon’s 3-in-1 Glue.

Pages 1&2
On the first two pages, I added more rubons, cutouts, and gemstones.  I added a chipboard sprocket piece to the center of a circular rubon.  The chipboard sprocket was sprayed with Graphite Glimmer Mist to create a metallic look.



Pages 3&4
I added more cut outs and journal pieces, as well as chipboard sprockets and chipboard arrow that were once again sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  I added two gemstones to the centers of the sprocket pieces to finish off the page.

Pages 5&6
Here I added another cutout and rubon.

Back Cover
On the back cover you can see where I added the ribbon onto the mini album.  I glued the ribbon to the back cover only to keep the ribbon piece in place.
